Dream Push You to Your Goals #Day5
"Stop dreaming and start working," while this has become a common phrase in many households and society in general, I most certainly disagree. Yes, it is absolutely true that working towards your goals and finishing the tasks you intend to do in a day are essentially important but dreams are what allow us to move forward.
Before we start off, I know this theme might sound cliché and well, ahem, my "fondness" for them might be obvious to you while reading some of my articles. But sometimes, clichés are clichés for a reason. :)
Here are the reasons why I think you shouldn't stop dreaming :
1) Taking Risks Allow Us to Grow: Our daily work might help us stay where we are - secure and comfortable but weaving dreams in our heads is, equally if not more, important in order to reach greater heights.
2) Branching Out: Dreams help us understand the amount of potential and diverse skills we have. Before I started writing, I had no idea that it was a skill I possessed. I never knew that the conversations I made with people could be transformed into content for my blog.
3) Breaking the monotony: Sometimes dreaming of doing something new or even as simple as trying out a new hobby can help in driving away the boredom of everyday life. Even when these dreams do not come true, they give us hope and new found enthusiasm in our daily jobs. Ever since I have started this challenge of writing a blog every single day, it gives me a sense of purpose after waking up every morning.
Nevertheless, inspite of all these advantages, what is absolutely necessary is that we plan out our dreams and not just let them float in our heads. If you have a dream, work on it! Research about it, ask for advice from your friends and colleagues and come to face with the challenges you are likely to face in fulfilling your dreams. But most importantly, if you have the zeal, don't let the challenges get to you!
To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
~ Anatole France
