Hope and Optimism the Game Changers of Life #Day17

Being used to living in a practical life, we usually associate optimism and positive thinking with a utopian world and not the imperfect world we live in. While it's true that always wishing for things to happen your way is not always a good idea, but having a subconscious mindset of thinking everything will be okay, is much powerful than we think it is.

Hope is wishing for good things to happen. It can have different meanings for everyone. For businessmen it might be earning maximum profit from their deals and for a hungry man it could be as small as having a meal. Regardless of what you hope for, what it does to us is make us enthusiastic of the future and hence enthusiastic about working for it.

In times like these when the pandemic is taking toll on lives and our lifestyles have gone through big changes in different ways, hope is what keeps us going. The hope of this pandemic getting over helps us stay calm and focused on what lies ahead of us.

Lack of hope can make winners fail a winning race and failures win a race they think they are losing. Hope gives us a new ray of optimism and brings up a whole new perspective. It gives wings to dreams and motive to our thoughts. Hoping, unlike how it is perceived, is not just mere daydreaming. It's the building and planning of ways to get to success and achievements.

The only thing that makes hope impractical is when you hope for the impossible and when you have not worked hard for what you hope to achieve. The attitude must not be to build sandcastles in the air but to work hard as much as you can and then hope for the best instead of worrying about the outcome.
